First off: IF YOU ARE A KICKSTARTER BACKER AND HAVE NOT REPLIED TO YOUR SURVEY, PLEASE DO SO NOW!
Ahem. Sorry for shouting :-)
As you already know if you follow us on Twitter (@theQuadshot), the parts came in last Thursday! Our truck driver got a little lost on his way from Oakland, but we tracked him down and showed him the way. Then it was just a simple matter of unloading a 20’ container full of hundreds of Quadshots-to-be:
Everything was very well packed and seems to have made its trans-Pacific journey safely. We are working on building the subassemblies and packing kits, and hope to ship the first Lattes and Cappuccinos out tomorrow!
On the Mocha front, we found that the radio receivers had incorrect firmware loaded onto them and were not outputting a PPM signal (combined output of all six channels onto one pin), which Lia needs to read commands. We talked to the manufacturer and they acknowledged the mistake, so we FedEx’ed the faulty receivers back and they are making new receivers for us. They have told us we’ll get the new receivers quickly enough that we don't think it will delay Mocha deliveries.
More updates soon!
